Getting Crafty With It

I promise I have done so much more than this.  I need to start looking for pics I've taken and upload them.  Just wait till I upload the Unicorn costume I made for YDD.  LOL.  She looked sooo silly, but she LOVED it!  That's all that counts, right?

Here's one thing I did for Christmas.  It's my version of a Charlie Brown tree.  I still have my mason jars out with snow, a pinecone and red ribbon as part of my winter decor.

I wanted to make something easy to take to my Grandma's house for Christmas so I chose Rachel Ray's chocolate peanut butter fudge wreath.  I added peanut M&M's for the leaves and cherry flavored ones for the berries.  It was delish!

Valentine's crafts

I love Valentine's Day (it is my wedding anniversary after all) so here are a few crafts I've put together.

Memories with love in a Mason Jar.  We used Valentine's smarties and Valentine's M&M's.  Any Valentine hard candy (not sticky) will work.  The kids made them last year for their grandparents with photos of them (the kids) inside.  This is the one I made with our family photo inside.

I made this for my Valentine with heart and rose shaped suckers and styrofoam hearts on a stick.  Then I tied different Valentine print ribbon pieces to each individual stick.  I finished with some shredded paper filler.  I love buying these little pails found at Target around the holidays in the dollar section.  I promise it was neater looking in person.  It looks overfilled here.  Hubby enjoyed it.

These two projects were made of out felt.  The ideas came from www.tipjunkie.com.

My version of the topiary.  I added a little ivy to mine and used rocks instead of moss.

My version of the wreath.  I loved this ribbon and just had to use it!

I haven't worked on anything in a while.  Then, all of a sudden Mother's Day was one week away so I had to work on the gifts for our Mothers (as promised).  Here's the finished products.........

My first time attempting lollipop cookies.  I plan on making these for the upcoming "Sweet Shoppe" birthday party.

Fall is right around the corner and I'm looking for new ideas.  I love the beautiful colors and crisp Autumn air.  When I think of Fall I picture sitting around a fire with friends and loved ones roasting hotdogs and marshmallows.  This picture was a portion of my hearth last year where I put all of our names on a pumpkin inside of a leaf.  It was just a quick idea with a leftover pumpkin.
It was taken with my camera phone so it's poor quality.
